TDM5 - How to Add a Video
Introduction
TDM5 allows you to create your own designs using elements. Each element has configurable properties, giving you the flexibility to create content based on your needs.
This article explains how to add a video element. For YouTube, Vimeo, or TikTok videos, please refer to their specific articles. Additional guides for other elements can be found in our knowledge base.
Requirements
To add a video to your page, you need the following:

Access to Designer > Pages with permission to create or edit a page.
How to add a video

Log in to your TDM5 environment.

Select Designer.

Select the menu option Pages.

Open an existing page by clicking Edit, or create a new page by clicking Add new page.

You will now be taken to the content editor, where you can design your page.

Select the Video element from the menu on the left side of the screen.

Draw a frame in the template editor by clicking. Adjust the size of the element as needed, then click again to confirm.

Configure the element properties on the right side of the page: To rename the element, double-click it in the Elements section.

In the Element layout section, adjust the position, rotation, and size. Rotation can also be set with the dot at the top of the element.

- In the ‘Video’ section, you have the option to select a video from your TDM media library, input a URL for a video stream or play videos from an external data source.
To select a video from your library or upload a video from your hard drive, click on the thumbnail image to the right of ‘file’.
Note: The URL and Data source options require the video to be streamed. No local copy will be created on the player, which may result in higher data traffic. - In the Touch section, configure content that will be displayed when someone presses the element (useful for touchscreen devices).

Once completed, you have successfully added a video. You can continue designing and add additional elements as needed.
