TDM5 - How to Add a YouTube Video

Introduction

TDM5 allows you to create your own designs using elements. Each element has configurable properties, giving you the flexibility to create content based on your needs.

This article explains how to add a YouTube video. For Vimeo or TikTok videos, please refer to their specific articles. Additional guides for other elements can be found in our knowledge base.

Requirements

To add a YouTube video to your page, you need the following:

  • Access to Designer > Pages with permission to create or edit a page.

How to add a YouTube video

  1. Log in to your TDM5 environment.

  2. Select Designer.

  3. Select the menu option Pages.

  4. Open an existing page by clicking Edit

    or create a new page by clicking Add new page.

  5. You will now be taken to the content editor, where you can design your page.

  6. Select the Video element from the menu on the left side of the screen.

  7. Draw a frame in the template editor by clicking. Adjust the size of the element as needed, then click again to confirm.

  8. Configure the element properties on the right side of the page: To rename the element, double-click it in the Elements section.

  9. In the Element layout section, adjust the position, size, and rotation.

    Rotation can also be set with the dot at the top of the element.

  10. In the Video section, link a YouTube video by entering its video ID or pasting the full URL. TDM5 will automatically convert it to the video ID.

    • Configure playback options:

      • Muted: The video will play without sound, even if sound is enabled on the player. This is useful if you want to mute this video while keeping sound in other parts of the presentation.

      • Loop: The video will automatically repeat for the duration of the page.

      • Start second: Set the exact timestamp where the video should start.

      • End second: Set the exact timestamp where the video should stop.

Once completed, you have successfully added a YouTube video. You can continue designing and add additional elements as needed
