TDM5 - How to Add PowerBI

Introduction

TDM5 allows you to create your own designs using elements. Each element has its own configurable properties, giving you the flexibility to build content to match your needs.

This article explains how to add a Power BI element.

With the Power BI element, you can display reports, tiles, and dashboards created and maintained in Power BI. Additional articles about elements can be found in our knowledge base.

Requirements

To set up Power BI in TDM5, you need the following:

  • Access to Designer > Pages

  • Permission to create or edit a page

How to add Power BI

  1. Log in to your TDM5 environment.

  2. Select Designer.

  3. Open the menu option Pages.

  4. Open an existing page by selecting Edit or create a new page using the Add new page button.

  5. You will be taken to the content editor, where you can design your page.

  6. From the menu on the left, select the Power BI element.

  7. Draw a frame in the template editor. Adjust the size by clicking again when you’re satisfied.

  8. On the right side of the page, configure the properties of the element. To change the name, double-click the element in the Elements section.

  9. In the Element layout section, adjust the position or rotation of the element if needed.

    • The size can also be changed by selecting the element’s border.

    • Rotation can be set using the dot at the top of the element.

  10. In the Power BI section, select the content available from your Power BI account. This can be a Report, Dashboard, or Tile.

  11. After selecting the type, choose the specific report, dashboard, or tile from the dropdown menu.

You have now successfully added a Power BI element in TDM5.
