Introduction

TDM5 supports Windows devices, this can be a NUC, laptop, workstation or any other Windows device. This manual explains the workflow which can be followed to install the TDM5 PC player on your Windows device.

Requirements

If you want to install the TDM5 PC Player you need to meet the following requirements.

• Have an active player licenses within your TDM5 account.
• Have a Windows device running Windows 10 or higher.
• Have administrator access to the Windows device.

How to install the TDM5 PC Player

1. Switch on your Windows device and login with an administrator account.
    
2. Download the TDM5 PC player from the following URL: https://tdm5.tdmsignage.com/download/windows
    
3. Open the ‘TDM Player Setup.exe’ to install the software. Once opened a dialog will appear which installs the software.
   
    
4. Once the installation has the completed the application will automatically be opened.
    
5. A unique QR code will appear which can be scanned with your phone.
   
    
6. You will be linked to the TDM5 platform once you scan the QR code, login with your account to continue.
   
    
7. On the following screen you can enter a name for your PC player, we advise to use a name which specifies the location of the device. This way you can easily find it in the player overview of the web interface. Press ‘Next’ once the name has been entered.
   
    
8. Now you can select the environment you want to add the PC player too. In case you only have access to one environment this page will be skipped.
   
    
9. On this page you can select the content you want to link to your PC Player, TDM5 will automatically link the default content in case this has been configured in your environment.
   
    
10. After this you have successfully added the PC player to your TDM5 environment, the PC player will automatically start displaying the content as soon as the process has been completed.
