Introduction

TDM Digital Signage software offers Mail to Signage functionality. With Mail to Signage you can easily convert your PowerPoint presentations to TDM presentations by sending them to a dedicated email account.

The PowerPoint file will automatically be converted as a template, page, playlist and connected to a presentation. With this option it is possible to update and maintain your signage presentation without ever having to login.

Requirements

If you want to setup Mail to Signage you need to meet the following requirements:

• Have administrator access to TDM designer
• Have a mail account available dedicated for PowerPoint conversion
• Have a device to display your presentation

How To setup Mail to Signage

Important: It is important to first create a presentation manually and connect a playlist and a player to it. This will ensure that the system knows what presentation and player to use. After the first e-mail is sent the playlist will be replaced by a new, automatically created, playlist.

1. Please login to the designer with an administrator account: https://designer.tdmsignage.com  
   
   
2. Please select: Content Creation > Presentations
   
   
   
3. Please create or select the presentation you want to use for Mail to Signage.
   
   
   
4. You will be forwarded to your presentation. In this window you can add playlists, assign players but also configure Mail to Signage.
   
   
   For Office365 email accounts please use the following configuration:
   IMAP mail server address: outlook.office365.com
   Mailbox username: The email address you want to use for this functionality
   Mailbox password: The password for the email address.
   Number of minutes between mailbox checks: Here you can configure the time used for TDM to check if there is any new content.
   Mail server port: 993
   SSL: Please tick this option.
   
   For Gmail email accounts please use the following configuration:
   IMAP mail server address: imap.gmail.com
   Mailbox username: The email address you want to use for this functionality
   Mailbox password: The password for the email address.

   After filling in all the relevant fields, your presentation is ready for use. From now on, each time the server detects a new PowerPoint attachment it will automatically convert it to a TDM presentation.
