Introduction

TDM offers the ability to add external data sources. With these data sources TDM offers the ability to display real-time information within your presentation. TDM offers support for the following external data sources:

- Facebook
- Twitter
- Instagram
- Yahoo Weather
- Office365 Calendar
- Google Calendar
- Flickr
- Yammer
- LinkedIn
- Exchange
- Power BI
- NS
- Axis (People Counter camera)
- HIKVision (People Counter camera)
- Amadeus
- Realworks

This guide will explain how data modification can be configured for a data source. With data modification you have the ability to replace specific values to an alternative value.

For example a data source which has the value ‘Mon’ for Monday, with data modification you have the ability to replace ‘Mon’ with ‘Monday’.

Requirements

If you want to configure data modification you need to meet the following requirements:

• Have administrator access to the TDM designer

How To configure data modification for your data source

1. Please login to the designer with an administrator account: https://designer.tdmsignage.com 
   
   
2. Select “Config Panel”.
   
   
   
3. Select the tab called “External Data”
   
   
   
4. Select the magnifying glass in front of your data source
   
   
   
5. A pop-up will open, here you can enter the values which you want to replace. In this example we will replace the value ‘Apr’ with ‘April’ in the OpenWeather data source.
   
   Tick the ‘+’ icon once you have entered the values. It is possible to replace multiple values for one data source.
   
   
   
6. It can take up to 5 minutes before the changes have been processed, this is because the data source information is cached.

   You have successfully configured data modification. You can repeat this process for any additional data modification.
