Introduction

TDM5 offers the ability to add external data sources. With these data sources TDM5 offers the ability to display real-time information within your presentation. This manual will explain how a Google calendar data source can be setup.

Requirements

If you want to setup a Google calendar external data source you need to meet the following requirements:

• Have administrator access to your TDM5 environment
• Access to the Google account which has all required permissions for the Google calendars
• Have all required information available regarding the Google calendars you want to add

How To setup a Google calendar data source

1. Login to your TDM5 environment using an administrator account. 
    
2. Select “Interactions”
   
    
3. Select the menu option called “Data sources”
   
    
4. Select ‘Google Calendar’ and press the “Create new” button to the right to create a new data source.
   
    
5. Enter a name for your data source like ‘TDM5 – Google Calendar’ and select ‘Add a new Google connection’:
   
    
6. You will be redirected to the Google login page, login with the account where the 0Auth 2.0 credentials have been created.
    
7. Follow the process and accept any messages regarding the information which will be shared with TDM5, these permissions are required to read information from your calendars.  Make sure that you select the calendar service, otherwise TDM5 will not be able to read calendar information.
   
    
8. You will be redirected back to TDM5, in case everything went well your account will now be visible and the status will be ‘Valid’.
   
    
9. Select your account to make the ‘Content’ dropdown menu visible, in this dropdown you can select the calendar you want to use for the data source.
   
    
10. On the right side of the page you will see a preview of your data source, with the arrows you have the ability to see all the meetings from your Google calendar:
    
    
    You have successfully created a Google calendar data source which can now be used in your design.
    You can repeat the process for the creation of the data source in case multiple rooms need to be added.
