Introduction
TDM5 offers the ability to add external data sources. With these data sources TDM5 offers the ability to display real-time information within your presentation. This manual will explain how an Instagram data source can be setup.
Requirements
If you want to setup an Instagram data source you need to meet the following requirements:
- Have administrator access to your TDM5 environment
- Have all required information available regarding the Instagram account you want to add
How To setup an Instagram data source
- Login to your TDM5 environment using an administrator account.
- Select “Interactions”.
- Select the menu option called “Data sources”
- Select ‘Instagram and press the “Create new” button to the right to create a new data source.
- Fill out a name for your Instagram data source and open the ‘Connection’ dropdown menu. Press the button called ‘Add a new Instagram connection’.
- This will redirect you to the Instagram login page, here you can login with the Instagram account you want to link to TDM5.
- After logging in a window will appear where you grant TDM5 permissions to your Instagram account. The profile information is mandatory, media is also mandatory in case you want to display media in your design. Press ‘Allow’ to continue, you will automatically be redirected to TDM5.
- The link with your Instagram account will now be visible in your TDM5 data source, by selecting the account a new option will appear called ‘Settings’. Here you can enable the option to show multiple images and a prefix from your posts.
- On the right side of the page you will see a preview of your data source, with the arrows you have the ability to see all the posts from your Instagram account:
You have successfully created an Instagram data source which can now be used in your design.
